Manifesto

MMXXVI · Lisors · Paris

We believe a future in symbiosis with the living is possible. Not a distant utopia, but a possibility already within reach. We have the tools. What we lack is the imagination to want it.

A future with the living will not be built by technique alone. There is another way to reconnect with it, a mythological, symbolic, cosmological bond, one that brings the living back into the way we see the world. No one moves toward a future they cannot feel, and to be felt, the world must be given back its depth: its meanings, its symbols, its myths.

This is why we imagine. To imagine is already to search. The imaginary is the first place where a future becomes possible, the ground where one can believe in it before it is proven. Before the technique, before the proof, someone has to have imagined it strongly enough that we want it to exist.

We act on this possibility in three ways. We imagine these futures, through research. We tell them, through narratives, so that they can be felt and desired. And we bring them into the present, through applied work, with brands, institutions and engaged organizations.

Everything begins with a world. Calces is our matrix, a living world bound to its land by myth, from which every story, every research and every application emerges.

What moves people is not argument, but emotion, the oldest language there is, the one myth has always spoken. Our wager is to awaken it around a world made real: to make the bond with the living felt as a myth, and credible as a fact.

The world is infinitely deeper than it appears, and stories can help us rediscover that depth.
