It came from something personal. I have always felt a deep, emotional bond with the living, with nature, which I believe is our true home. My strongest wish was to put creativity and imagination at the service of that bond, to use them to weave new links between us and the living world.

So I began to imagine. If we picture contexts where symbiosis already exists, then we can imagine the objects, the dwellings, the systems that create real bonds with the living. From there I went deeper, into stories, into mythology, into rites and cultures, because I understood that this is how a bond is truly made: not through technique alone, but through narration, through meaning, through emotion. This became a creative and emotional extension of myself, and it has run through every project I have made, the search for that link.

Along the way I understood something else. Our disconnection from the living is not fate. We pulled away out of fear, out of a will to control. But the bond can be woven again. I believe it is possible, and that it begins in the imagination, which is not naive but joyful, courageous, and real. We have the strength and the creativity to build these worlds. The only question is whether we choose to.

If we can imagine futures in space, we can imagine futures with the earth. What we need now is to populate our imaginations, to fill the collective unconscious with stories, words and symbols of these new bonds. To build, together, a cosmology with the living.
